2023 Sponsors

We want to thank all of the establishments that have supported the endeavors of the Bigfoot Regional Poetry Slam, whether by donating space for poetry to take place, offering our poets discounted rates, or donating goods.

Ace Hotel.

Along with acting as this year’s host hotel for our incoming poets and offering discounted rates, the Ace Hotel will be donating their lobby on Friday, June 2nd, to host a Poetry Showcase, featuring a poet from every competing team.

Al’s Den.

This McMenamins staple of downtown Portland came through for us in a pinch! After losing another venue at the last moment, this space swiftly offered to donate space to us for two poetry open mics on June 2nd!

  • If you are a minor or someone who needs the elevator, make sure to go through the door on the other side next to Zeus’ cafe!

Literary Arts.

Always a safe haven to all things literary here in Portland, Literary Arts is donating their space for multiple events. Two preliminary poetry slams will be happening in their space on the night of Friday, June 2nd. Then on Saturday, June 3rd, three poetry open mics will be held in their performance area and three workshops will be held in their conference room.

Powell’s Books.

Just like in 2019, Powell’s Books will again be donating space to Bigfoot four our tournament. Two preliminary poetry slams will be happening in their space on the night of Friday, June 2nd, one at 5:00pm, the other at 7:00pm.

Sizzle Pie.

Sizzle Pie is graciously offering our poets and volunteers a 20% discount when they purchase food in store during the weekend of the festival when they show their lanyard badge at the counter.

Stumptown Coffee.

Located inside of the host hotel, Stumptown Coffee is donating coffee to us the morning of June 3rd. Swing by the Poetry Market happening in The Cleaners (a couple doors down from Stumptown) from 8:00am - 11:00am, and you will be able to snag yourself a free cup of coffee while you peruse some fantastic poetry to purchase!

Tender Loving Empire.

We partnered with Tender Loving Empire for our first festival in 2019, and we are happy to announce we are partnering with them again this year! TLE is offering a 10% discount to poets and volunteers who shop at their SW 10th Ave location the weekend of the festival when they show their lanyard badge at the counter. They are also generously donating mini prints, which will be gifted to the poets in their swag bags.

Timbuk2.

Timbuk2, a store that sells customizable bags and backpacks, is offering a 20% discount to poets and volunteers who purchase any items in store during the weekend of the festival.

United Church of Christ

The First Congregational United Church of Christ will, once again, be acting as our finals venue for the Bigfoot Regional.
